Neurocritical Care

The Neurocritical Care Division has been established with the goal of providing cutting edge advanced critical care for neurological and neurosurgical patients. Our physicians are trained in leading international centers and will staff a 24 bed unit located at Jackson Memorial Hospital. This will be one of the largest units of its kind in the United States.  Advanced invasive and non-invasive multi-modality neuromonitoring such as ICP, Brain Oximetry, Microdialysis, Cerebral Perfusion in addition to monitoring such as TCD, CT and MRI scanning is available and routinely utilized in the care of patients.

Being one of the largest trauma centers in the United States, Jackson Memorial Hospital experiences a large number of neurotrauma patients.  It is one of our primary aims to provide excellent critical care to these patients in an effort to improve their outcomes and limit subsequent disability.
